We are pleased to announce that the James Madison Executive Board officially approved the 2026–2027 School Calendar during its meeting on July 24, 2026.
The calendar was developed with thoughtful input from administrative teams, staff members, and community representatives to ensure a balanced academic schedule that supports both student learning and well-being.
Key Dates at a Glance
First Day of School for all 9th graders: Monday, August 10, 2026
First Day of School for grades 10-12: Wednesday, August 12, 2026

Way to grow! JMPHS officially increased their school grade from a C to a B! Your commitment to excellence, growth, and achievement is truly paying off. Go Bandits!
🏀 Madison County Central School (MCCS)
Earned a solid C with 51 points! With their eyes on the prize, the MCCS Broncos are already shooting higher and working harder with a clear goal to achieve a B in 2027! We are right behind you!
🤠 Madison County High School (MCHS)
The official grade for the Cowboys is currently marked as Incomplete and will be released later this summer. We can't wait to celebrate your results soon!
